Birth
Zachariah Martin Jones was born to Stephen and Susanna Jones during the year 1787. Zachariah is the only child of Stephen and Susanna's to be named in documentation, which can be found in Stephen's Rev War Petition papers. Zachariah was probably born in Russell County, Virginia. Russell County had been formed out of Washington County, VA. one year earlier on January 2, 1786.
